The CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Refresher is a 2-day course designed for those who have previously completed the full 5-day SMSTS course and need to renew their qualification.
The course updates delegates on the latest health and safety legislation, industry guidance, and best practice, ensuring site managers continue to meet their responsibilities for health, safety, welfare, and environmental management on construction sites.
Proof of a valid, in-date SMSTS certificate is required to attend. If your certificate has expired, you must complete the full 5-day SMSTS course.

• How to maintain compliance with CITB and CSR requirements

• Current industry best practice and legal compliance
Delegates will be continually assessed throughout the course and must attend both days in full. A multiple-choice examination will be completed at the end of the course.
Successful delegates will receive a CITB Site Safety Plus SMSTS Refresher certificate, valid for 5 years.
To maintain certification, refresher training must be completed before the expiry date. If the certificate expires, delegates will be required to complete the full 5-day SMSTS course.
