This course is designed for those delegates who supervise or participate in working at height activities using personal fall protection systems. It will provide the delegates with the necessary knowledge and understanding in relation to the use of safety harness and its associated equipment and identification of potential hazards and suitability of personal fall protection equipment.
Course Duration: 1/2 Day
On completion of the course, the delegate will have an understanding of the following:
• Be able to identify specific hazards
• Ensure an adequate risk assessment has been carried out to comply with current legislation
• Harness design, provisions and testing
• Wearing a harness as per manufacturers instructions
• Fall restraint and arrest systems
• Harness inspection and maintenance
• Be able to identify defective equipment or systems
Assessment:
Classroom based training with a hands-on/practical demonstration of equipment and various techniques, and a multiple-choice exam of 20 questions.
All delegates will receive a Harness Wearer / Inspection Certificate valid for 3 years
