Did you know that after December 2024 CEFNI are changing its rules and regulations around the criteria required for issuing and renewing CSR Cards?
That the Construction Skills Register (CSR) Scheme has withdrawn the Industry Accreditation method which would have formerly allowed delegates to apply for higher ranked cards such as skill and craft.
Therefore, in order to qualify for a,
- BLUE SKILLED CARD
- GOLD CRAFT CARD
- GOLD SITE SUPERVISOR CARD
Delegates are required to obtain an NVQ in the relevant area that their card is awarded.
For example, an NVQ Level 2 for a Blue Skilled Bricklayer Card or an NVQ Level 3 for Gold Craft Joiner Card, and for a Gold Site Supervisor Card they must hold an NVQ Level 4 in Construction Site Supervision, and so on.
If the delegate currently holds a CSR BLUE SKILLED Card or a CSR GOLD CRAFT Card etc. but hasn’t obtained an NVQ, they have 3 options:
- Their current card can be renewed in the normal way i.e., by attending our CSR One Day Health and Safety Course or applicable Site Supervisor Refresher. However, the card will have a shorter duration and will expire on the 31st of December 2024.
- They can downgrade to the Green Labourer’s Card or the standard White Health & Safety Trained.
