CSR One-Day Health and Safety Course

The course is aimed at all construction personnel including new entrants, to ensure that they have a basic knowledge of health and safety to comply with relevant legislation and make them aware of the inherent dangers on construction sites.

It can sometimes be referred to as the ‘site pass’ or ‘safe pass(ROI alternative) and is considered as ‘passport’ access onto a construction site.

Course Duration: One day

There are several modules covered in the CSR One Day Health & Safety course including:

  • Health & Safety legislation.
  • Accident reporting & emergency procedures.
  • Personal protective equipment.
  • Safe use of vehicles.
  • Working at heights.
  • Handheld tools & equipment.
  • Manual handling and carrying out a safety lift.
  • Excavations / confined spaces.
  • Noise & vibration / COSHH.
  • Electricity – underground & overhead services.
  • Accident prevention/statistics.

On completion of your CSR course, you will be registered with the Construction Federation and receive an In-House HASI CSR Certificate and be issued with a CSR card which allows you to work on site.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have a Construction-related NVQ in your trade, you may be eligible to apply for a Skilled or Craft Specific CSR Card.

Please remember, you must also complete the One Day CSR Health and Safety course if you are renewing a CSR card.
