About:
It provides delegates with the essential awareness of the dangers of a Cable Avoidance Tool (CAT) along with a Signal Generator (GENNY) when tracing underground services to meet the guidance from HSG 47 for Avoiding Danger from Underground Services.
Who is this course for?
This CAT & Genny Awareness training course is for anyone starting off to operate CAT and GENNY equipment, and carrying out work on or near underground services. It makes delegates aware of the need to check for any underground services before conducting any sort of work i.e excavating. It educates you about the dangers that exist when working in these areas, how to reduce the risk of health and safety, and the indirect results of damage to the services.
Assessment:
Delegates are assessed via a Multiple Choice Question paper to ensure learning and understanding.
Certification:
All delegates will receive a CAT & GENNY Awareness Certificate valid for 1 year.
Additional Information:
This course provides an understanding of the dangers when operating CAT & GENNY. It is recommended that additional training is completed for practical use of CAT & GENNY.
